May I show you my "new" baby? 1983 KZ750-L3 was created by Z1000 Grandma
In 1983 I bought a new '83 KZ750-L3. LOVED it! Kept it several years and rode it everywhere, touring and everything. Moved on to other Kaws. Always wished I'd kept the L. Last November a friend notified me there was a really clean one with only 15K miles on eBay. I gobbled it up and hubby and I picked it up in Iowa! (loooooong way; we're in SC) Now, "Bessie" is fully restored with powdercoating, new paint, new decals, etc, and I'm pleased as punch with my retro-ride. (My main ride is still my '04 Z1000.) Just thought you guys (mostly) wouldn't mind me showing my new baby off a tad. Thx for looking. ____Granny Green Streak

Krazinite, someone before me had added the fairing. As you already know, it was not OEM with one. My first one didn't have one. This person had put some kind of tape on the fairing for the "stripes." Yuk. But I do love a quarter fairing, so I wanted to keep it. It is, my husband confirmed, an actual Kawasaki (K-part) fairing (with much better brackets than aftermarket); the one that came on the 1982 GPz750-R1. (Most everything is the same on an '82 GPz750 and an '83 L anyway.) Unfortunately, you cannot find a new fairing and/or windscreen anymore (Fairing p/n: 55028-1012-B1 and Windscreen p/n: 39154-1008). You need to find a used '82 GPz750 OEM fairing and fix it up for yours. There is ONE PLACE in the whole world, apparently, who sells a replacement for the oem windscreen. It's "M&B Direct" in England. The cost is reasonable, but the shpg is outrageous, so I'm living with mine with a couple of scratches. When I had the fairing painted, I first took the decals (from R&D Decals in Canada) to my local Keystone Automotive where they superbly color-matched the 3 stripes on the tank. Unfortunately I was forced to buy a pint of each color, but my painted stripes are identical to the decal stripes. Hope that all helps, dear. Blessings, Z1000 Grandma

Very Pretty Bike!

I always did like that model. One of the best pain schemes Kawasaki ever produced IMO!

OOOh! THANK you! I'm gonna check out bikescreen for a new black windscreen. Mine has some surface scratches, but two very noticeable deep ones. Thx again for your thoughtfulness!
