Vetter / Pridmore memorial build

Will do this weekend.

Weather permitting, I "plan to be" out at Willow Springs this weekend (Sunday morning) for some pictures on the track - stationary. Not abusing the bike until CW does the article or they tell us they decided not to.

Thad - they racer who helped with the build runs the Willow Springs Racing school, so he will be showing off his work to his friend as well

It sure would be nice to see this bike in person. Any chance it will make a trip to Daytona Bikeweek?

UPDATE:

The weather was not god today, so I did not make the trip to Willow Springs, and Thad didn't get the bike, since I never prepared it by Friday... I still have not finished detailing it (read short on time, not lazy:lol: ).

Saturday, I did take the bike outside and shoot a quick video... It was very quick and SHAKEY... really testing for what I thought would have been shot today.

Here is a really poor quality quick ride - probably not worth watching - TURN DOWN THE SOUND! I mount the camera on the tank and it picked up all the ignition noise - Next video should be better -cause I made all the mistakes I could this time...

What size baffle did u use? it has that nice NO baffle sound.

yeah... I'm sure someone will pick up the tach's operation (jumpy). I have several set of gauges here and Thad used the ones that were on the bike without telling me they weren't working well. I will replace the tach with a better one... probably after a photoshoot, since the likelihood of nicking something is always high around here.

The speedo actually works well, but I can't hook up the cable since we mounted the Lockheed brake calipers. I am looking now for an electronic GPS to set inside the speedo glass. size is the issue.

Otherwise, I am happy with the bike.

Thad custom built a baffle with perf stock rolled to fit inside the can he made. There is currently no baffle material in the pipe, as I believe in loud bikes.

That bike sound real nice !!! badass. what shocks are those? do you like them?

Thanks - Took it out for a few miles today... good weather for a change.

The shocks are Works Performance - aluminum body, dual rate springs. I like them. They look good and feel ok. I haven't flogged the bike as of yet, so to be honest... don't know if they are tuned right.

Note the built in offset that was requested from Works when we ordered them. This helped since we mounted the top of the shock to the frame, which is further out then the stock mounts, which were cut off to save weight
