Nice work!
yours will end up similar to mine.
I have a zx9 front and zrx12 rear.
grind off the inner , lower foot peg boss. the bottom of the chain will rub on it.
Since u already clearance d the frame, a 5/8" offset sprocket will make life easier when trying to line it up to the rear sprocket.u wont have to mill the rear hub as much that way.
Have a look at Irishwill"s top rear motor mount. if u copy that , u will remedy the chain hitting the stock 1.
Don't skimp on the bracing. if u plan on riding it hard, u wont regret it.i have all the normal bracing done, and it still flexes in the corners at speed.
I'm going in for round 2 on the bracing now.
Good luck, and enjoy yourself. it will be very gratifying when u are done.

Here's a couple more pics of the gussetting that I have been doing... still not completly done but you get the idea. Next is some type of battery box and rear cowl support... anyway... here ya go.

Looking Good
You might want to triangulate the top tube bracing you started behind the coils. The bottom cross brace has to be taken carefully into consideration for placement height wise.
Wires & throttle cable have to fit, so leave room for them to pass through the triangle. If you get it down too low, you could run into issues removing the valve cover.
Might want to use sqaure tube for that bottom cross member.
With mono shock, that extra bracing near the tail section is not doing anything but adding weight IMO.

i am going to add the third brace between the backbone tubes also... just havn't gotten there yet. The neck is also getting alot more attention. I am useing the zrx1100 arm whick has twin shocks... I agree with the monoshock thing. If it was getting the mono I would just do away with the whole subframe and do one in aluminum. I really like the zrx arm though... kinda a retro look and it has neat eccentic adjuster. I just need to find some shocks comparable to the front forks.. Ohlins would be ideal... or even some stock zrx shocks... but like i said this bike is being build on a MAJOR budget.. here is the tally so far...
Motor: Freeby!! traded for some TIG welding
Frame: Freeby!! laying around the shop
Forks: $130 Ebay
Caipers: $10 Ebay
Lower tree: $15 Ebay
Upper tree: $15 Ebay
Clip ons: Freeby!! traded a guy some parts
Swingarm: Freeby!! Had in my basement... off my zrx
marterials: $20 sheet metal and tubing
Like i said .. MAJOR budget.. I got about $190 buck in it so far.. not to bad huh.. I realize I got alot of stuff yet to buy but I'm doin good so far.. I'd like to stay under 500 buck if I can (just for giggles). I won't say how much time I got in it for now.. I really don't want to know. I'm not a tightwad (won't say what I gave for my TIG welder!!) .. just like showing what can be done for next to nothing... just a little craftsmanship, creativity, and a little time can get you.

Did u see this Sanctuary PDF on frame gussets in the KZ Information:? i cant find it myself, right now. i'll keep looking and get back to u with its location. anyone here know how to find all the pdf' tutorials and such?
if u plan on making the rail gussets that go under the tank and down to the motor mounts, i would buy a second set from u.
Are u interested in making a set for me ?

here it is.
kzrider.com/index.php?option=com_docman&...w&gid=231&Itemid=108
it was under
KZ Information,file base, NOT Model-spesific.
(thanks Dave)
I am looking for the piece under #4 in upper pic.
the 1 under the top frame rail where the seat and tank meet.
the brace doesn't seem to have a specific # like the rest of them do.
u may want to consider adding the roller in pic7. the chain tends to drag on the bottom rail a bit. u will also have to grind off the inner lower foot peg bosses, for chain clearance.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestions!! I have seen that pic before... actually I saved it somewhere but as many times as i've looked at it .. I never noticed the roller there!! looks like a good Idea. The gusset that you were talking about needing is the long curved one along the lower backbone tubes? the really long brazed one.. I don't knkow if mine will get that one or notbut if I do I can make a second set.. I would like to do that neck bracing onto the down tube in front.. that looks good I think! I had to put my frame on hold for a bit to get some customers stuff done. Im building some turbo headersand plenums for the ZRXB)

yes that is the gusset brace i was talking about.
i have most of the gussets done, and find that it could use some more.it still weaves at lean , at speed.
i feel like, what the hell, i may as well do everything i can, now, and be done.
If its better, or not?? at least I'll know i have got every thing done that i can. I'll know, and be satisfied, that this is as good as a KZ can be.
Let me know if u want to make me some.
