83 kz750 ltd, dyna coils, k&n, mac 4->1 just rolled 50k
Going for the look from the times was created by cricketfire46
I love my 83 KZ750 H4. I like the modern interpretation and upgrades that people are doing to them. I am going for a different look though. I want that period correct look, ya know do what people used to do to them back in the 80s. the two problems I have had is that I cant find somewhere that has parts from that time. Does anyone know a good site to get parts from way back when???
what are they???? Second does anyone know where i can find some pics of bikes that were tricked out and considered "rad" back then????
all suggestions welcome

PLEASE DONT SHOUT! - That cap lock key was'nt invented to help you get your message across. Messages written in all caps are annoying,hard to read,and loud.

Actually, he didn't use the caps lock - he just used larger sized red lettering. It's still kinda annoying to read, though.
As to the bike, isn't the Ltd already tricked out with all the chrome & those goofy handlebars? I guess just slap a tall sissy bar on it. Or one of those sissy bar seats.

yeah yeah yeah sorry about the loud typing, Yes the ldt did come with lots of crome, as far as bars, they are the same kind that i have seen on every other stock bike from the time. I was just thinking what would a kid do back then to trick out a bike. They didnt just leave them stock did they????
I am wanting to do this the same way a friend of mine did when he bought a 95 mercedes station wagon, he went and got a roof rack from that time period and some enkei wheels and it looks just like the ones that all the kids were bragging about.
does anyone even do this sort of resto on KZs? Just looking for a way to keep it comfortable and fun to ride but want to turn heads when i drive by.

In the early 80's here's what nearly every Kawasaki owner wanted their bike to be like (Good ole #21).

What's the condition of the bike? Maybe just start refurbishing stuff.... RedlineCycles does restoration work - not sure if they do 750s, though. And they're pricy.
The bike probably already has enkei wheels. What kind of condition are they in? You could refurbish them w a fresh coat of paint. Maybe get some new tires w raised white lettering (I think they're still available). If the bike has stock handlebars, toss 'em & get some superbike bars. When you do that, move the turn signals forward to the headlite bucket or forks or something. And get a modern front brake master cylinder & ss braided brake lines. Refurbish the calipers & give them a fresh coat of paint. If you don't like the disco seat, you could shave the foam & install a standard type of seat cover. Strip everything off the bike & paint the frame - a nice fresh coat of paint really makes a difference. Etc
