Project Kz550 Cafe was created by Twichel04
I know that i have already started a post for this project, but for some reason, i cant open up my old thread, making it difficult for me to update it. so i am forced to start a new one.
when i got it-
i want to go for a cafe look, but have a little sport bike look in there also. i will be keeping this bike mechanically stock. this is my first bike so i dont want to go too crazy with performance.
a coat of red paint to the frame-
Engine (before)
and after-
i decided to go with a honda tank 1-because is give it the nice cafe look and 2- i found this 1968 honda cb tank on ebay for $.99
the tank is in really good shape too, no dents or dings and it went on the bike with very little modification.
the only major thing i had to do to the tank was fill in where the honda logo goes-
ill be finishing up with the tank this weekend and will post some pictures of it on the bike when its done. i will also post some pictures of the removeable trunk i am making for it. im using the center arm rest/console from a 2007 Cadillac Escalade.
more updates to come soon.
