Nice to hear that things are moving forward.B)
Have a good look at the springs at the back the basket. Make sure they are tight and in good shape. u can replace them if they are worn bad.
i found a peice of a spring in the bottom of my motor once. this was what lead me to find the issue.
i bought the APE springs and repaired it repaired. not dificult at all.B)
i can walk u through it if neaded.
U will want a suport plate for the output shaft sprocket as well.
B)

haha, ya that sprocket cover kinda hints that the bike is not stock. But the long and low stance i am going for should do a good enough job at suggesting that this old boat anchor may be a handful to mess with B)

They make a spacer that bolts on to the cases between the cases and the stock clutch cover that clears the lock-up. Paint it with the motor and unless you know it's there, it is hard to tell. Not sure if they still make them but they are out there. I think MTC makes them. That way you wouldn't give away what you are doing.

hey jordan you will have to get button's installed in your pressure plate idf your going to use that lock-up. eventually the lock up arms will work there way thru the thin alluminium pressure plate just something to watch out for. i speak from experiance.

Do you have a picture of these buttons that you are talking about? I have the whole clutch setup with the lockup that was used on a dragbike

If you go to the Schnitz site and look under clutches, they have a couple pictures. I tried to put them up but they wouldn't allow copying the pictures. Basically, they just machine the pressure plate and press in a steel button in the area where the arms of the lock-up presses on the pressure plate to keep the arm from digging into the aluminum of the stock plate.

Here's a picture of a pressure plate with buttons installed. Not sure what this one fits but this is what it is and looks like.
