Had to throw this in, My twin brother on the 1983 VFR Honda Interceptor that we picked up for $400. Cleaned carbs, new (used) rear brake caliper and used handlebar starter switch assy. Myslef on the (just completed and running) 1984 Kz700 converted to a Kz1000r ELR (look alike). I picked this bike up from the woods for $250 and proceded to put in another $2,500 from seat, tank, handlebars, mirrors, fairing, Kerker exhaust, carbs, tires, brakes, instrumentation, etc. Paint and clearcoat done in my garage. It was a nice 70F here in Fl for a ride.

I followed your rebuild in another thread...enjoyed it and you did a nice job...thinking of converting my GPz750R1 to an ELR clone...you might also consider posting the clone on the
www.kz1000r.com
site:)
