I dunno if this belongs in projects? It's got Kawi parts afterall.
Slow updates, I know. Been super busy with work and the kid.
Anyhow, here's some pics.
That's the body work shots so far.
It's a 96 YZF with ZX636 2003 fork tubes, 97 YZF750 triples (sleeve spacer in the bottoms), ZX636 2005 swingarm, and ZX636 2003 wheels.
Here's a mill shot.
Info on the mill: 1997 YZF600R mill with the FZR stroker setup. Now, I know that we've all heard these can be unreliable and tempermental if not done right.... well, I got a winner here. Built by a racer named Todd Fischer who works on Ducatis. It has a ton of FZR parts, carillo rods, shitloads of machining, and every bolt is already safety wired. lol
Dyno'd at 111RWHP. Not bad. Pulls like a train from low RPM's too. Price? Less than you could imagine.

lookin good. How did yo get the frame(framish thing that supports the motor:laugh: ) that color? Gonna be a nice bike. Its good to see that there are a few owners of crotch rockets that actually know how to work on them. Nice project, lookin forward to some more progress pics.

Seems to be the same as the Dupli Color Metal Cast product. Transparent paint showing the buff/swirl marks through the paint in the aluminum.
When applied over chrome, it appears transparent with color.
If applied over their Ground base (primer with metal flake) it also appears transparent with color showing the flake through it.

This is what I used in my paint job, stuff is amazing in the sunlight.
