project Z was created by judgie
had this z650c1 for about a month now and have started tweeking
came with the pod filters and kerker system, but the jetting was way of. now have 125's in and it is a whole load better but still not quite right.
plans for it are get it running right and poss build another motor for it over the winter, ported head gpz cams etc
aiming for a moriwaki replica type thing ish
changed the bars for some alloy moto-x ones and deleated the rear chrome mudguard. looking for some rearsets{once i sort the electric start} and a cut down seat
cheers rob

Nice 650. Might want to hold off on cutting up the seat, if you plan on going on long rides. It looks nice as is.

Looks real nice as is. It looks like the seat has been cut down already a little to me. Enjoy and ride safe.

after some internet searching over the alst few days some more plans ideas.
going to black header wrap up to the join with the can, the header is a bit scruffy and this is a cheap way of hiding it
looking for a fork brace as i want to lose the big heavy front mudguard, not sure on what to replace it with.
going to make a braced swingarm for it over the winter so i can get a fatter rear wheel in there.
if i can find a set going to retro fit spoke wheels in it. will relace them with alloy rims and prob both 18" might even go with 17" then i have the pick of the good tyres.
paint wise cant decide on the blue it is or go for a moriwaki blue and yellow.
engine wise would like to get hold another head for it so i can port it and fit some gpz cams.
need to sort the electric start so i can fit some rearsets.
should keep me busy over the winter

Stuff falls in my lap all the time...but never a 650 'C' model...WTF is that all about...
BTW: nice bike. ...and I LOVE the direction that you're going to take with your project. You might check with 'Excel' on the rims, they might just need to get the number of holes to lace for your rims...and 17s sound great!

well its coming on slowly, engine is out and striped ready for rebuild.
head has been ported and cc'ed
got a pair of big cams to go in it just trying to decide on what carbs to run.
made up most of the parts of a frame brace kit and worked out how i'm going to brace the swing arm.
now looking for some rear shocks that are a bit longer than stock so i can quicken up the steering a bit.
this is what i'm aiming for when its done. got a way to go yet but i think it will worth it

I used this fender on my 650, not sure if its what you're looking for. I just drilled holes and it bolted right up.
