Thanks for the yack D.
I will be placing a gage to judge throttle position.
Not many ZR motors out there with a kerker pipe and BS34 mm carbs.
Well see when I can get it down for a dyno run to start a new baseline for my basket of parts.

All are set at #3 notch, no space included in #1. Power picked up.
Took a long ride this morning and pulled th plugs for a look at color...
Seems a bit light to me. What do you guys think?

Have to do the ol screw turn monkey business. Probably an 8th or 16th off, possibly less?
Adjusting the needle up one click sure gained top end and drivability through 5 and 6K.
Control is great with these on board. RS always was on the knife edge... Could reach the rev limiter in a hurry with those though. Haven't found the ceiling yet with these... Motor will be thankful for that.
Most driving seems to be around 3/8 throttle.
Passing going to 3/4 and it moves well. Can bog it down in 5th and pull out from bottom end much turmoil.
Kinda nice.

Since I can't afford dyno time it's probably going to get some larger primary jets and see how it performs.
I screwed myself initially with more than one change and had to place the needle back to four. Three didn't cut it and four had the best midrange mix so far.
Interesting thing is the needle adjustment moves the burble up 1K RPM each clip change.
This is why I'm thinking of opening up the Pilot.

What throttle position does this happen at?Still seem to have a burble in transition from pilot to needle circuit.
Are you referring to pilot jets?Since I can't afford dyno time it's probably going to get some larger primary jets and see how it performs.
This is when raising the needle?Interesting thing is the needle adjustment moves the burble up 1K RPM each clip change.
Can you explain further? This is why I'm thinking of opening up the Pilot.

Derek

Unfortunately I'm not trusting this tack any longer. When things get busy it swings wild in the hi range after 7K when on the pipe... :)More motion on the tack than on the road.
As for testing with the enrichments opened may give some indication but I'm looking for that nice sweet spot. This would just dump more fuel than the next size Pilot Jet would be doing for me.
It may just be as close as I'm going to get with the financial compromise I have to make at the moment. Wait for payday and will be at Derek's doorstep.
I'll get some more runs in later this weekend and get a better handle on the throttle position.
