Restoring a 1975 Z1-P was created by sactosamiam
Hi! new to this forum, I just bought what I believe to be a 1975-76 transition Z1 police(Z1-P frame+Z1-E engine). It is registered as a 1976 but was manufactured in May of 1975. It is missing the windsheild and seat, and I believe it has the wrong tank (screw-on not pop-up cap) all the mounts are there as is the boxes. If anyone has information or know a source for parts, please let me know also pictures would be great! Thanks, Sam. I tried to post pictures, but I don't know how to do it!

That is a very rare bike...not much info is available (as you probably know). I have seen a photo of a 1975 police model, but Kawasaki doesn't give any info until the 1977(?)C model. I am also aware of a 1974/5 Z2C model but have only seen a photo. There are a few photos bumping around the web and there is a yahoo site that covers Kawasaki police models, but not apparently much else that's active.
