I had those grips on my bike once. My hand did get pulled off of the bars once by having the right grip pass through my gloved hand while accelerating in a parking lot. My bike doesn't do wheelies either. Switched them out.

But you gotta admit, they do look great on the bike.

Not sure yet. Haven't had it at the track yet nor on the dyno. I'm interested to find that out for myself.

Yeah, more than 10 minutes of riding, my right hand goes numb. "Basketball Player Hands"...I wish.

Anyone have any grips they really like?

I must concur, freaking sweet ass ride!!! But one must wonder, what happened with the zrx shocks? What shocks are you running on it now?

Well, I'm guessing from your design that you probably won't be taking many cross country trips on this particular ride...you want a performance grip and I like Renthal grips. They make them in two or three levels of hardness and I like the hard grips as they last a little longer. The design of these grips is like a bunch of little spikes that 'grab' your hand back when you wrap your hand around them.

I know it would not be any fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

Those are still 1" grips; 7/8" grips are (for me) much, much easier to control the bike with...and I think that control might be a consideration with this beast!;)

They come in both sizes. Not sure which size is on my bike, they were there when I got it.

Hard to see from the photos, but the swingarm has three mounting positions for the shocks. The zrx shocks mount on the furthest position. During mock-up I didn't have the chain on, so the tire wasn't properly aligned. Once I started final assembly and got the tire aligned, the bolts on the sprocket were occuping the same space as the mounting bolts for the shocks. So for now, I'm just running the stock shocks which mount further up the swingarm until I can figure out a solution.

Nice bike.
But what year and what type of brake and clutch cable did you use?

I got an aftermarket "oem" clutch cable from ebay.

Braided stainless steel brake lines all the way around. The rear caliper and hanger are from a 99-07 hayabusa. I got real lucky and was able to use the caliper torque arm from my stock swingarm.
