Sounds clever that one, in case you need to change something on the swing.
That s the constructors privilege, isn't it?
Do you manage to take out that bearing without splitting the cases?
And you know what happens if you start on the engine...suddenly you have bought new parts for $$$$$$$$
(that's what happens me every time)
Dial up, that's a nightmare when you are working with pictures.
I have sent you a private message regarding the triple trees.

ah yes changeups are the fabricators privilege.i have not been able to pull the cover behind my countersprocket to see if i can get to that bearing from the outside.if it doesn't have snap rings i should be able to.i have been too busy working on other peoples stuff to work on my own.i had to go out to the shop lastnight and take the pics, while i was heating up a cr80 honda cyl.to install the sleeve.then deck the head and cyl.on a polaris,it never stops.i would not know what to do if it did.i do machine work for a couple of local shops and some independant guys, plus work a full time job 7:30-4:30 5 days a week selling forklift parts.but it keeps me outta the bar.

galaxian i would love to have an old 2stroke twin yamaha.rz,rd,tz,i would probably prefer a rz so i could throw one of my banshee engines in and fly down the road, legally.i have built several swingarms and a-arms for bikes and fourwheelers.i flattrack raced my banshee for 8 years and still have them to play on when i can.i still have my first 1978 kz1000 z1r that i got when i was 15.i was an idiot had it geared really low and would make hour long runs on the highway buried in redline most of the time, seven topends in about four years.what a learning curve.if you brake enough stuff you will learn how to fix it eventually.

Hey 531blackbanshee, nice rides you have!!! Z1R looks great, your swingarm design looks real good & nice welds by the way. Is your truck a 71 or 72? I've got a 69 Chevy short fllet for hauling my bikes around. Keep us posted in the pic department, once again NICE work, regards, Doug

531BB,
i was heavily into the rd/rz for many years and have only gone back to 4 stokes about 7 years ago. I still have tons of rd parts here and there with a vsion of building an RD/TZ combo. What kind of HP are your banshee motors getting? My rd was dynoed at 47 at the wheel at one point not earth shattering but was pretty quick.

my old stock stroke .060 over motor went 50hp.on a dynojet.that was with a flywheel that i had built a weight that weighed 11oz.and pressed and welded on.i have a +4mm stroke crank engine with stock cyls.that are ported and polished, with ram valves with tdr reeds,34mm keihin carbs,15cc combustion chambers in a cool head, teflon coated skirts, ceramic coated dome wiseco pistons that are .020 over, matched cases, pro design intake, currently have pro circuit pipes on it.i have a few different set of pipes and silencers, depending on application.i have never had the stoker motor on a dyno, although it feels healthier on the bottom and mid range and still has the topend of the other motor.i have 2 banshee's and three motors.one that i am just finishing for some asphalt drag racing locally.
here are some more pics of the z1r.
