I think the only place you can get it is at a John Deere dealer. Nobody seems to be able to find it online.
But I just found a thread on some other board where a guy painted is car with it:

Blitz Black thread

Also, you have to know that if you use the stuff and change your mind later, you'll have to take it all off if you switch to another paint.
If you buy it in a quart can (not rattle can). they also offer a hardner you can add to it. But I've used it from a rattlecan and it covers real nice, and being that it's designed for tractors, it's pretty tough.

Mounting your switches on the headlight bucket was an old chopper trick back in the day. They would either be mounted there or on the oil/battery box under the seat.

I forgot to say something about that, I actually put the switches in the headlight bucket, the strater button is on the top, I got the smallest button I could find that worked and you can barely see it in the b/w pic above. the headlight hi/lo switches are sticking out of the back of the bucket so you can't see them unless you are looking for them, it worked out quite well. I'll try and get a closer pic posted to show it

I finally got around to just taking the whole thing apart. Now comes the cleaning, scrubbing, painting, polishing, and re-assembling. Fun!

Yeah, I know, it's out there, but I have seen this scheme pulled off on a couple of cb's and thought what the heck, give it a shot on the kaw and see how it turns out. believe me, I am polishing and cleaning and painting every last detail on this bike to make sure it looks right.

Kinda like this, but not so fancy-pants

I think that will look pretty good. I'm going to paint my frame this winter. Keep the pictures coming.

I'll see how much progress I can make this weekend.

I came home early from work today to tackle the engine, and boy, scrubbing and spraying and washing and scrubbing and spraying and washing and drying and painting an engine is not near as fun as it seems. After about 6 hours of some good hard work, the engine came away looking a little better than before. I still have to polish the aluminum covers I didn't paint, but damn I don't think this engine ever looked as good.

Here it is next to the frame and swingarm and stuff.

I scrubbed the chain with auto tranny fluid also. It came out a lot cleaner as well.

I started stripping the tank, I had to get through about 6 or 7 layers of paint, and I'm almost down to bare metal, and it sure looks like I'll have a lot of bondo and primer work to get on this weekend. Stink.

here is the latest shot, I wrestled the frame back onto the engine (ever so carefully of course) and touched it all up and now it is ready for the rest to be put back on. It is turning out well.
