78 650, and I got to redo it again was created by dreamsofaz1r
I got this bike about 4 years ago in boxes(it was two bikes, almost, actually) With alot of help from Melvis, and another firend, I had this together and on the road in 2 weeks and two days. I then sold it to a friend. He was working on doing some other stuff to it as it was still not 100% ready to go, but was on the road.I ended up getting it back just like you see it. I cant complain, I paid less than I sold it for and got alot of spare parts with it, including a kz750 air ride front end, 19 inch front/16 inch rear mags, with basically new Dunlops on them.
Anyway, I origianlly joined this ite when I got this bike, but shortly after I sold it so i was non active. I now have it again, and thought I would share a pic of it from when I builtit the first time.

Welcome back. Great 650!
The back brake mount is not connected to the axle mount, so be careful trying to ride her.

LOL, their isnt even any spacers let alone the rear sprocket. I just picked the bike up at around 7 this morning, so those pics were as soon as the bike came off the truck.
This is actually a KZ650B. The rear master cylinder had a bracket welded to the frameso it could be mounted, and a set of 650C mags were installed. It will have KZ750 air ride front forks and the 19 front, 16 rear mags installed with the updated front brakes. The body panels all need repainted, so I am thinking of a Duplicolor ready mixed grey. and pinstriped over that with the blue(the blue is doge dakota bonzi blue)that is on the frame. I will probably do the forks and rear swing arm also in the grey, and do the mags in grey where the black is, and do the unpainted highlights in the blue. We will see I guess.

I took some hints from some here who were doing simple lines on their paint jobs and redid the 650 this way. This is jsut the one side cover and duck tail. Speaking of one side cover, anyone got a spare left hand side 650 side cover?
I am adding the "K" that I had on the orange 1000 on the 650. I filled in the side cover emblems, but decided to keep the tank badges as is.
Any and all feed back is always welcome.
