LOL the only thing important is that you make it what makes you happy. 4 wheels will move your ass and moves your crap, 2 wheels moves your sould and moves your mind away from crap. Bobber, chopper, cafe racer, dragster, enduro, whatever, just do it.
Oh and post pictures.

If you think that's cool, then you should get one of those hard tail farm tractors.

Ya know, the cool thing about mo-mos is that there is so much variety and so many different flavors that it attracts a whole menagerie of different riders...that's cool.
I'm like everybody in the world: I like some things, I dislike some things. I try not to heave my opinion on people who do not solicit it...seems like this thread solicits, so myyyyy thoughts are similar to a couple others in that if a person thinks the 'cafe scene' is stale...you've never been to the cafe scene. It's been around for a looooooooong time and the cool thing about the cafe attitude is that we don't freakin' care if you think it's stale or not. As stated, we like what makes our bikes better (better handling, more performance) as it yeilds more fun. For me I want to stay with my platform (J/GPz/Z I-4) and modify to my heart's content with inverted forks, wide/sticky 17s, pumped up motors, and strengthened frames. ...and I'd rather have my balls pounded flat with a wooden mallet than drive a chopper to the local poser hang-out.
...but that's just what I think.

Go back a couple of pages and find my last post where I show what I have done with my KZ 750. The chopper came off of a chopper site, it was picked because it is a Jap 4 cyl I have no idea what make or model it is. If you wanna make a cafe "racer" wouldn't you be better off starting with a GPZ or some similar race oriented bike to begin with? Otherwise you have taken a dang good motorcycle and screwed it up as big as any chopperization ever done. And yes it is a complete cliche to make a cafe racer out of a KZ. And cliche' means stale and boring.
Just do with it what you want and what makes you feel good to sit astride it. But don't put down one idea while yours is absolutely no better.
