This bike has been sitting for 8 years. I did most of the work then. A ground up restoration. I left it outside for a year in the Chicago winter, bad idea. I never got it running quite right in 99. I put the vance&Hines headers on it, Dana ignition w/coils, Pods and didn't get the jetting quite down. I think I should be running 105,s and a 17.5 pilot. Somehow I put 117's in it before i parked it. Running a wee bit rich. Funny how just sittning for so long wrecks the bike, oh well. Back to the drawing board.

Aside from the surface rust, it doesn't look like it should take all that long to bring it back to a presentable and rideable condition.
You should have seen my ZN700 right after I rescued it from sitting outside in the high desert area for almost 10 years - gunk, dirt, mud, more gunk, rust, grease, oil, did I mention gunk?
The cap on the fuel tank was corroded so badly onto the tank, I thought it was locked! :S
With Mark Wings outstanding painting skills and my luck in locating replacement parts, it looks a whole lot better now in my (biased) opinion.
Just take your time, she'll be a good lookin' runner again soon.

I just picked up an 80 Gpz750 head for $20.00 on ebay. I have a 77 and a 79 motor I will do the 810 Wisco kit on one of them. I think that will be my project next year. I'm just going to clean this up a bit and have some fun. It has been 8 long years.
