Hey all! Just finished my Z1 project, pics was created by KenC
Hey everyone! My name is Ken, I have been riding street bikes for about 23 years and have owned at least 50 different bikes but never more than 13 at one time:blink: I have a small list of bikes that I have always wanted and/or regret selling at some point and a Z1 is on that list.
I picked this one up with 32k miles on it, it was all decked out with touring stuff and the old guy that owned it had completely butchered the wiring, removed the fuses and there was not one original wire in the harness that wasn't spliced somewhere. The paint was very poor but original and it had the wrong seat on it. There was a fair amount of surface rust, most of it I managed to remove but some of it is beyond removal.
I took off the restrictive aftermarke crap pipes that were on it and installed a Kerker 4 into 1, K&N in stock airbox, fork seals, Halogen headlight, new seat, new wiring harness and a ton of elbow grease;) I found this body set on ebay, it looked nicer in his pictures but there are alot of dings and chips in the paint. The set that came with the bike will be stored for a future paint job, hopefully back to stock.
Here are some pics from teardown to completion, and I look forward to contributing to the site! Ken

Welcome to KZR. Good to have you aboard.
Nice work removing the extras and fixing up the bike. Keep us posted on the changes/mods you do in the future.

Nice looking bike! It sounds like a lot of work went into it, and it shows:)
