hi new guy here with a post count of 1 lol.
anyway nuf about me you wanna see the bike im sure this is my bike its not that great but i love her.
in 1990 i bought a gpz1100b1 later that year got the kz1000r chasis
i kept on adding bits too it until the b1 was striped and the kz was whole
brought it to the states in 2000 when i moved to marthas vineyard and garraged it becouse the fuel injection wouldnt
settle into the us grade fuel, in 04 i bought a set of BS34 Mikuni carburetor
assembly for a Kawasaki kz1100 Police motorcycle (like in chips)
this summer i have spent most of my time totally stripping it down
and restoring it mechanically to ride.
replaced the out dated forks and brake calipers with ones from a gpz1000 (86)
40mm with anti-drive air assisted AVDS front forks
installed new bridgestone tires 110 18 on the front and 160 18 on the rear..
fabricated several billet brackets for dampers rear brake assembly to Aline back wheel and brace bar.
new headlight went with twins as i allways liked them on other bikes.
replaced the fuel injection with the BS34 Mikuni carburetor.
still working on paintwork but weather isn't good for outside painting.
arc welding made the new billet pegs and let me use their machine shop.
so 16 yrs later I'm still working on it
id like to replace front end again with inverted
forks and a custom billet yoaks and get some
twin pot calipers oh and better shocks but all
this was out of price range right now.
gonna bead blast some parts to clean them up a bit.
this is what it looked like at the begining of the summer.

in the pic of the front it looks like the wheel is closer to one fork than the other. probably just a camera angle illusion
