Hi all, I am looking for guidance/opinions on a recent purchase. I acquired a 1978 KZ 1000 A model frame and want to do upgraded suspension mods. I currently have a swingarm from a Zephyr 1100 and one from a ZRX 1200. Either one work without excessive fabrication? I was also considering a ZRX 1200 front. I was trying to keep it all Kawasaki but understand it may not be doable for me. Thanks for any help and look forward to being a part of this forum. Background is I purchased a brand new 1977 KZ 650 Custom when I was 17 then a couple years later bought a new 1979 LTD 1000 that I enjoyed for a few months before it was stolen. Still having my 650 I was wanting more power(like my 1000)so in 1982 I purchased a 1973 Z1 that had a Pops Yoshimura engine and header. I rode that(trouble free) until 1985 to where I bought the awesome Eliminator 900 and that was the last new bike I have owned bringing me to building my last "new" bike.

Welcome aboard!
Keeping it all Kawasaki is no more difficult than mixing manufacturers. There are a bunch of build threads around here, and they all use different combinations of factory and custom parts. Users Wookie58, DoctoRot, Old Man Rock, Larrycav, Blackbanshee531and Zed1015 come to mind.
