Howdy,
I'm looking for a different ride and there are so many to choose from. I currenty drive a Yamaha XS400 (First bike since 25 years ago as a teenager) that I had to do some engine work on. It's too small for a 6'4" 235# guy. It does have good power though. Anyway I was just looking for opinions about the one below. Seems logical that if there is a website devoted to a certain bike that the bike must be nice. Thanks.

For $600.00 you can't go wrong (well, maybe not). Buy it, pull the carbs, send themn to Wired George, he'll rebuild to original specs, and you'll have a bike that might meet your cruising/hotrod needs for the forseeable future. I'd not hesitate at US$600.00 if it were being advertized in my backyard.

I have two STs myself... can't view the ad but if the bike runs and is complete, the price seems OK.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the input. There's a lot of different makes, models and styles out there and its hard to judge one from the other.

Buy it. If it were closer I'd buy it.
Just remember though that ST's are odd in that there are ST only parts so you may have to go to the dealer or make mods to get around. I have one and also a 550 shaft.
They are only rated to 97hp at 8000rpm by the way not 100hp. That said they were rated at a top speed of 130mph, that's plenty fast enough for me.
