Hello all!

I come from Québec, a canadian province located on the eastern part of the country. Like the majority of Qc citizens, my mother tongue is french. That is why you guys may find i am a bit limited in vocabulary with my english.

At this time of the year, we're starting to ride, as the snow hasn't all melted yet and roads are stillfull of sand, and weather is still cold, few degrees above the melting point.

I am currently riding a 2004 kawa Z1000 which I love. Previously I had a lot of dirt, and dual sport bikes, as well as 750/1100 GPz and a '94 harley low rider. I'm having much more fun now with the Z than I had with the HD...

But why am I interested in KZs if I don't own one ? A friend of mine is selling his '80 kz650. Another friend of mine wants to buy it, but the bike doesnt start.. So I've been choosen as the one that will make the bike start

So lets troubleshoot this spark issue in the proper forum. (I'll post a new thread in the electrical section)

Welcome aboard Syd.

Your English is much better than my French which is non-existant! The 650s are good reliable machines and I think you'll find it wasy to work on. The forums and the old forum archive are a very good resource.

Welcome Syd.
I live across the Country from You...British Columbia. We still have some snow in the mountains, and I should be out riding soon.(Working on My bike)
There have already been a lot of bikes out on the road, but there is also a lot of gravel on the roads, but it's being cleaned up on a daily basis.Soon My bike will be on the road too...can't wait. The weather is quite wet lately, but that's normal for this time of year..."April showers bring May flowers".
I say,"Bring on the heat and sunshine, because that's just friggen nicer!" LOL
Enjoy Yourself,Bud. B)
