That sounds like you have alot of fun/work ahead of you. Post some pictures of your bike. This may always happen, but in the last month I've noticed alot of people that have bought '76 KZ750's...including me.

Kromoon welcome to the world of the twins, they are a wonderful bike and much like other twins not very popular until people find out how easy they are to work on and how much fun they are to ride. Mine is a 1976 KZ750 B1, Canadian model and I am turning her into an oldstyle cafe racer. This bike will corner real well with newer rubber and progressive springs up front.
:S
have fun with your project and if you want some info there are sites dedicated only to the twins, let me know if you want the links.
