Hi All was created by seawall
I'm a new member from the UK, and only just found the site whilst looking inline for a colour wiring diagram for a KZ550 C-1. I have three bikes, all Kwaks,
a Z650D
a ZR550B1
and the latest addition, a KZ550C1.
It's the latest one that is causing me problems. It's just about roadworthy, but has one or two problems (most of which that weren't mentioned when it was advertised)
Anyhow, I look forward to being able to contribute to the site in due course. Cheers, Paul

Not found wiring diagram yet, but the night is still young. Pictures of all three bikes can be found here...

A thought occurred to me when I looked at the photos of the bikes - none of them are in their original colour scheme, but I bought them that way. They all came through Ebay.
The Z650 is a long term rebuild job ( ie. it's under a tarp in the back garden ) The Zephyr gets regular use at the moment although it's lined up for cosmetic attention. The KZ550 was bought to ride while the work is being done on the Zephyr, but does need it's bugs sorting out first.

Thanks, much appreciated. It's a C1 and it was actually first registered in the USA.

Handling? Not as well as the Zephyr took to the Devon roads...
I think the poor old KZ550 has suffered a bit of neglect. We took it for a reasonable run out to the beach today. I have had to spend a bit of time sorting out various niggles with it, electrics, clutch, tyres etc but was happy enough with it to go today. The Zephyr is really sure footed and has great stopping power. Compared to that the KZ just feels different, hard to put a finger on it really. The tyres are not what I would choose so will probably be replaced in due course. The clutch lets go at times if you give it too much throttle but it will be having new springs this week.
Still, all things being equal, it does pretty well for a 26 year old bike that hasn't been that well looked after..
