Hey guys! I've owned Hondas for many years now, but I just traded for a spanking new-to-me 1981 KZ750H(2?) LTD. It's got four cylinders and lots of moss as it has been parked for awhile. Last registered in 03. Anyway, I thought I'd say hi before I started hitting the forums with a few noob questions!

I'm browsing the forums to see if my questions have been answered, but here is the skinny on the bike:
I just traded an old trail 90 to a guy who had bought this bike off his friend. He's had it since 03. At that time, it would run, but the starter wouldn't engage most of the time. (An infamous problem with these, I just found.)
The bike has been mostly under a tarp since then. It doesn't have much rust, although the rear caliper was frozen solid and the brake pedal still won't move.
I've removed the (badly recovered) seats and pulled of the (badly repainted) gas tank. I don't see much rust in there, which is nice.
Engine:
I put some PB Blaster down the cylinders a few days ago and rocked it back and forth in high gear tonight. She seems to move, although I can't really tell as it has no kick starter.
Electrical:
I pulled the battery out and hooked up a 12v charger. The turn signals work and the oil light comes on. I can't test the starter button as the clutch cable is frozen. The wiring seems OK, but there are a few cut wires and some bad patch jobs. No horn.
Misc:
The taillight is wired on with bailing wire, and the seat lock is frozen. The clutch adjustment cover is missing. The airbox is broken on the bottom, and the tool tray is missing. The speedo is missing too. The front brake master cylinder looks like one of the holes has been drilled and tapped out. Also, the mufflers have been patched to the headers (badly).
I've made a list of parts that I need, but for now I'm going to rebuild the carbs and put on some pod filters while I track down any other electrical issues.
