I thought I had made my intro before but it could have been elsewhere...
Newlywed after 12 years of single-fatherhood and love it!
We bought a 1979 SR-650 D2 model 18 months ago with 5800 miles for 1.3K. We love the bike and have more than doubled the mileage since we bought it. I am currently doing some routine maint (changing oil and filter(s), replacing rotted oil cooler lines, replacing sprockets and chain, partial dis-assembly and thoroughly cleaning, cable lubes, etc). So far most things have gone well.
We are very pleased with this bike, my fifth
1st: 1960something Honda dream
2nd: 1974 Yamaha TX500 (bought in Japan and brought back here).
3rd: 1968/1973 Harley Police Special (from parts)
4th: 1975 BMW R-90S
Latest: 1979 SR 650
Love your forum. Thanks everyone for all the advice and info

Welcome!
My mom lives in Marshall MI. She says it's 50 & sunny. Sounds like perfect ridin' weather.
