Hey mykznme:
Welcome. You have a good bike...with those low miles you ought to be able to ride it well into the 21st century. You have come to the right place for Z related stuff.

Welcome!
I'm about the same age (25), and this site's been a good place to hang out and chat about riding in general, as well as a great source of info about these bikes.
Don't forget to check out the site archives, too -- there's a lot of old forum posts that didn't carry over when the site recently relaunched. There's a ton of info there...

Welcome to KZR mykznme. Your bike looks to be in great shape.
Have you see Ivar's (AKA ibsen22000, a member here) website? www.kz400.com/ Lots of info on the KZ400 there.
As far as the Battery Rubber Strap, mine was missing as well, but I had a large O ring gasket that fit over the 2 strap mounts that did the job well enough.

Welcome mykz,
I have the older sister, a 74 Kz400, and I'm missing it already. Darn this snow and ice.
