Here they are... nowhere close to being done, but comparing the two, you can see i've done quite a bit to alter the 'stock' KZ440 LTD appearance. The seat is off of an older KZ, lots of 'shimming' was involved, to say the least. New bars, turn signals, popped the plastic indicators of the gauge assemblies. New gasket job will probably happen this weekend, with rain in the forecast. Then it's on to repainting the tank.

Nice work! I've been doing a lot of polishing on my 1980 KZ1000 and found an awesome product for the aluminum...it's called "Semichrome", comes in a small tube & is a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way and makes an easier job of cleaning up alum...

I said once and I'l say it again....semichrome and a buff wheel on the Dremel. Does a GREAT job!!!!!

Yeah...Simichrome is good stuff. We used it on tool steel in the repair shop AND out on the shop floor (custom injection molding plant)---That stuff really works!
