Well, riding season is over and during the cold months I'm thinking of sprucing up the scooter. I came across this company on the internet and am wondering if anyone here has ever heard of them or used their products.

No, never heard of them. Their tips leave alot to the imagination, though. John68 can match paint for you...not to speak for him, but I've seen threads where he's offered to. Give him a U2u about it.

I never heard of them either. Me and BARNEYHYPHEN used DupliColor, and Ron has used Krylon. I think all three have achieved GREAT results.

I have also used Duplicolor, both lacquer, and enamel on other projects (like that metalcast!). Even used the high heat engine enamel on my exhaust once. I think you can do very well with any of these if starting from scratch. You may have difficulty matching motorcycle colors with them, if that's what you're wondering about. They use automotive standard colors, more than motorcycle ones when they name them, so who knows what you'll get. Pat got a nice match for his tailpiece and faring...How hard was that, Pat?

Color match with that was a REALLY scientific process...I eyeballed the rattlecan lid!!:woohoo:
But seriously folks....after a couple coats on a test piece....I saw it wasnt QUITE gonna match....a little experimenting with diff color on top of what I had and then more original color got me there pretty d*mn close. Started with 3 colors (All DupliColor) that were close, but none quite spot-on. Trial and error I guess is the short answer....but it worked OK, I think.
