Just got the frame completely cleaned, primed and painted on my day off Monday. 50 degrees outside in January was too good to pass up; easy to heat the garage for painting. It took about 2 hours of cleaning and sanding and another 2 hrs to prime and paint. Frame was in great shape, only a minor amount of sanding after degreasing with kerosene, followed up by a laquer thinner wipe down and then a tack rag. Here are a few pictures I hope.

Back to the drawing board. Didn't size the pic small enough.

I used 2 different primers. The areas that had metal showing from scratches and sanding I used Martin Senour 7220 self etching primer. For the final primer coat, I used Duplicolor Primer Sealer. It goes on great. My boys and I decided to paint the frame satin black. It was Martin Senour 7243 Chassis Black. Took about a can and a half to get it black, but it really covers well. These were all rattle cans, but I buy them at my local NAPA store. I have so many projects that I have an account there. Been dealing there for over 30 years. They are not the cheapest, but the nearest Wally world is 30 miles away. Thanks for the positive comments. Got to start cleaning more parts tomorrow night.
