TOPIC:

Lester Mags, Early Z1 / H2 with 6 bolt front discs.
2 sets have sold for over $1000! on eBay in the last month. Set just sold an hour ago with the clevland Kaw Boyz logo added to tires.

I have a KZ 4 bolt disc front, along with the 18" drum rear.
My question is? I am restoring, polishing edges. And re-painting the black with satin black paint.
Me being myself, I could not resist cleaning the spoke ribs off to bare aluminum also and shining them up.
Will this turn off the Purists? Because I did not leave them black?
I did not paint the yet, But will soon. As My set will be destined for eBay also.
Just checking for some one's knowledge about Lesters that I don't have?

An old Ad, Whatever? Would think they would have been polished new on the ribs?
And for whatever?? There is no stamp into a spoke about DOT or size? On either mag?

yes is DOT markings very small on ribs and hard to read, you might have buffed them out, got mine from Jack O'Malley at Orient Express in 76, will send a pic if came will pick it up
