so i decided to let my friend tryout my bike knowing he hadn't rode a bike b4. well long story short, he managed to hit a dumpster in first gear at idle on a kz 650. it slightly dented the front fender and broke a turn signal so i assume that the fork took the brunt and not the highway bars like he said. it seems ok to the naked eye and rides normal at low speeds but i wondered if i should have the fork tested somehow or replace it. i've got a couple parts bikes and i could service those forks easy enough i guess. just wanted some advice from vets.

If it rides and steers ok, then I wouldn't worry to much about it, but I probably would not let him forget it either

ok, so now i've rode it a little and it seems to get a slight "shimmy" around 45 mph. it looks like the tire took the initial impact and i was wondering if that sounds like the forks slightly bent or the wheels out of true (no marks on the wheel itself). someone suggested the wheel might be out of alignment with the forks, is that even possible? and is there some way to check the fork in my garage? should i pull the wheel and take it to a shop? oh, and thanks, those tires were freebies to get it rollin again. the 39's are on the way when i get rich:unsure:
