I have been searching the net today looking for a new chain for my KZ750 80' and have no luck finding one at Z1 or the normal places, so I checked bikebandit(which I don't like to use because it takes two weeks to get an order) and this is what they quoted..

21: CHAIN,630X84 S-T 628446-001 $400.58

Besides my mouth dropping and wondering WTF. Does anyone have any better suggestion to finding a chain which doesn't cost more than my bike??? :S

$47.95 for a non o-ring chain
$88.95 for an 0-ring chain
You will have to remove a few links though.

At MAW

Just search for an 84 link 630 chain, it's not bike specific. You may have to buy a clip type master link also, if that's what you want to use.

I thought that Z1 had 630 chain so I took a look and found it.
$84.88 for an RK o-ring 630 chain.

Link to chain at Z1

That is awesome, thanks Steell. I was just looking under my bike specific at Z1, so I didnt even think about the search part. Now my other question would be now, what is the major difference between o-ring and non? Will one run better, I imagine the o-ring one might last longer.

All else being equal, an "O"-ring chain will last longer....generally! (that was a disclaimer, btw!!)
The O-rings hold the lube in the rollers. I lube mine (o-ring type) regularly anyways.....helps to get the slippery into the side plates.
DONT use anything to clean an o-ring chain that isnt rubber-friendly, tho!

I think so, it may not be friendly in a long exposure, but are you asking about cleaning the chain with kerosene?
The small amount of exposure during cleaning shouldn't affect the rubber.
