Nope this doesnt belong in chit chat

I put new brake pads on my bike finally. I didnt have much for rear brakes before so this is a new problem to me. When I really use the rear brake the rear end seems to briefly wobble to the right. Then when I give it some gas afterwords it briefly wobbles to the left. I gave it a once over at work tonight and didnt see anything loose, and it has never done this before (maybe a hidden problem though that I never noticed either) I will give it a better going over tomorrow but Im wondering if new pads have to set and right now they are grabbing strangely or if I just am noticing a bigger problem now that Im using those brakes more.

With the new pads you just might be noticing something that's been there all along.
Perhaps the rear wheel alighnment isn't dead-on, cush damper in the rear hub has seen better days, or maybe even the swingarm bushings are worn?

check wheel bearings or swingarm bearings would be my first guess. goodluck,happy wrenching!

I was noticing the stablizer for the rear brakes on my parts bike had a worn badly bolt on the forward mount of the swingarm.

It could bee that when you hit the brakes the Stablizer is actually moving a bit.

Wouldnt hurt checking it anyways.

The exact same thing happened to me last year. The axle bolt on the left side was not as tight as it should have been. The axle was slipping back and forth the tiniest bit, but it made a difference....

Had exactly the same thing on a 1000 CSR I bought, axle was loose.
