What is the best material to use to replace the old plastic tubing that covers the wires coming from the handle bar controls left and right side. Shrink Tubing? Does anyone have any ideas or experience/recommendations? Thanks.

Thanks wireman. Engine Kill Switch control covering is cleanable and OK. However, not thinking, (a gotcha) I got the semi gloss black paint that I put on the controls on it. The turn signal switch is split in places and needs to be replaced. Since I'm doing a really clean restore, I need to replace both. I would be interested in your contacts who might have these where they can be cleaned to near new. Otherwise I was thinking of 1/2" flat black shrink tubing (shrinks to 1/4 - Which I think will work) Good to see you're doing ok! :)

Skip, When I rebuild a bike, I strip off all the covering on all wiring harnesses. On the main harness, I wrap electrical tape. On the switch gear harnesses, I wrap tape then use spiral wiring loom. If you tape it or use fine wire ties every 4 inches or so, it stays neatly wrapped. It would be difficult to use shrink wrap due to getting the stuff on but it would look OK I guess.

Thanks for all the great info guys! wireman, I'd like to talk to you about all that stuff you got lying around! I'm not sure how you find your way around wading through all that stuff. From what I understand wiredgeorge has the same kind of issues. Thanks for the color help too guys. KZ_Rage that is really cool stuff on the links you sent me. I may have to order some just to play with it and see what it looks like. Thanks again.
