laced the 18x3.5 did with buchanan's spokes, and threw that 160 dunlop on. turned out pretty nice. 8^)

popped home over lunch break. swapped the tach cables out to fix the leak, put the other side cover on, and put some mirrors on it.

rode it out for some grub, and back in to work.

the new engine is running like a champ. it's a 76 900 engine that was rebuilt a year or so ago. spent most of that time cooped up in the drag chassis that i brought home last weekend.

need to change out the oil, and do some other basic maintenance on it, but it's a great running engine. put the old bassani header on there, and it sounds fantastic.

we need to go ride wire. might not be for a couple weeks or so, but mosdef need to get out.

well, i was just out in the parking lot, looking at the bike, having a smoke, when i noticed that the block displacement number is NOT the expected 904... it's a 1015 block. and a later model head...

hmm, i says.

i don't have a 900 here, i have at least a 1015.

cool.

no, it was built up in sioux city(sux).

the dude i bought it from told me, but i can't remember. he assumed it was just a stock rebuild. i guess he didn't look at it real close.
