does anyone know if the axle on a kz750 twin is the same length as the axle on a kz1000?

my 82 twin and 76 900 are both 10.5" across the swingarm but i havent checked them for diameter yet

Assuming the 76 KZ900 uses the same axle diamter as the KZ1000, the 82 KZ750M1 twin axle will be smaller. Kawasaki went to a smaller axle diameter on the 82 twins compared to the 76-80 750 twins.
I found that out when I tried to put a 79 750 wheel on a 82 750
