Hi All...

working on a KZ400 (1978) project bike....

i'm ready to start doing some back end work....

my plan is to take off rear wheel and do a couple of things:

- clean up rim
- replace sprocket
- replace tire
- check alignment
- etc...

curious....

i need a new sprocket (current one is really worn)

i've heard that it is best to replace rear/front sprocket and chain at the same time...

advice?

comments?

i found a couple of KZ400 rear sprockets on e-bay, but not sure if that is the best way to go (prob not)...

thanks...

It's best to change all at once (front/rear/chain) and you'll probably want to upgrade to the 530. Go to Z1Enterprises and they will probably have what you need. And if you have questions don't hesitate to call they are great with customer care.
I'd just get new chain and wouldn't chance a used one.

I agree. Doing otherwise is imprudent and a waste of money...

Prime, since you will already have the wheel off, take the time to check your bearings and brake shoes too (pads if applicable), a little bit goes a long way!
