79 kz400, 15k miles

battery acid spilled out of the old battery after the bike fell over briefly, it had no charge and wouldnt take a charge at all.

new battery in, fully charged. still no indicator lights when i turn the ignition switch. first set of wires coming off the battery also reads full charge. what's next? did i miss something?

I would check to see that your fuses are good for starters.

Clarify what you mean by indicator lights please... are you talking about your neutral and oil lights? If so, these are on a separate harness on most bikes. Open the headlight shell and check the connector. If they are not powered, the connector is either unconnected or the fuse supplying switch power for those lights got dislodged or blown/shorted when you tipped the bike over.

yes, i mean the neutral and oil lights. everything appears to be connected in the headlight shell, however, one of the wires was cut that goes to the taillight. would this affect the wiring system as a whole or just affect the taillight? the fuses seem fine to me. if they were blown they would be cut in the middle, correct? all 3 fuses are not broken and have no soot on them.

any other ideas? thanks for the help.
