Just for what it's worth. When I first started working on my 76 KZ, I bought 2 feet of #8 stranded copper wire, soldered a large electrical "ring" on one end and fastened it under the battery ground bolt. Routed the other end of the wire to under the seat. There I attached the wire to a 6" long (10-12 terminal/hole regular house/home GE/Square D type Grounding bar.

Now I have a very convenient place it attach any and all wires that need to be grounded.

Brit ingenuity please. In fact, I may be worse than a Damn Yankee? I moved to Nashville (Franklin) and stayed. Only 20 years so far so. Another 50+ years and I could be a local.

That's a good idea. When I replaced my seperate rectifier and regulator with a combined unit it freed up some space for my coil mod relay and a positive battery voltage post. I replaced the wimpy white wire coming from the battery connection with a 12 gauge wire to the post and connected the new regulator, coils and coil relay, and my battery tender wires there. I used a piece of delrin for the insulator. It is similiar to nylon but is stronger and can be tapped to hold a thread. Here is a pic.
