You can do a wet test by taking a piece of 1/4 clear tubing from the hardware store, remove you drain plug from you carb bowl, insert the tubing (give it a couple of turns and it should hold and not leak).
Hold the tubing up against the side of the carb bowl...turn on the gas and the tube will fill up to the same amount that is in the bowl. Then you'll now for sure.

I'd try that before I took them apart again.

i found it somewere on here, and said that float level may cause problems with the idle circut, and make it run poorly between the rpm range of 900 to 2000! and low revs
it this the right?

my bike runs poorly at idle and good at higher rpms, i have to get it up to 3000 before i take off or it wants to stall out, hot or cold. i belive its running rich on the idle circut! what causes this, float level right
once i hit 3000 rpms i good to go!

Float levels set too high will run it rich at idle and at small throttle openings and may be the source of your problem. I believe it will also run it rich in the rpm range you mentioned. The only thing to do would be to do the wet test and retry after your sure they're set correctly.

I hate that damned wet test myself as it is a messy process unless you figure out some 'clean' way to do it. I still haven't. Maybe doing it with water would be better but you'll have to blow out the carbs with some high pressure air afterwards to get it really dry - or put it under some heat lamps.:P
