What model carbs ?   I have not seen VM26 carbs with the idle adjust on the lower body.  My 78 b2  adjust from the top.
Someone mentioned ,  early kz900 carbs.  1976.    thxs. , Appreciated kzriders

They look like VM28SS. Measure the spoigot ID on the engine side. Should be 28.?? mm. Post a picture of the pilot screws. And the front, airbox side.

Limited on pixs.  Currently prospecting and sourcing.
vm28. ?  1976 ?   Kz900 ?    The idle adjust on the bottom is different than what I have seen.   I'm a rookie.
Maybe this pix might help.  Thank u.

Now that picture make me lean more toward 26mm. The spigot wall is thicker than would be on a 28mm.

No the 1976 VM26SS have idle speed adjuster on the top. That adjustment style showed up on the 1979 models. The 1979 kz1000 Canadian model use carbs looking like that but I can’t confirm the mm size.

Can not tell if it has air screws from the pics, but does appear to have pilot screws. If it has both the came from a Suzuki. There is a vacuum port on #3 carb which would make it, as I understand it, from 1978 but not later as it does not have an accelerator pump, which 79 model years did have in the US market. It does not have the connector plate that some of the carbs on 77 models did make use of.

I have seen some info that all the vm26 carbs used on the Kaws had dual fuel inlets, your pics have a single fuel inlet not saying I am correct only that I have seen some info indicating this. I have also seen info indicating that some of the 28s did have the single fuel inlet and the idle  adjuster below the carbs not above.

There should be an ID stamped below the choke lever or on the same flange  on the outside of #4 carb that may help to ID the set of carbs

Mikaw, Yes, I see what you mean, eh.
Your Kz model statement aligns with the current geographical location of the source.  Meaning, they are currently living "near" the border to our friends in Canada.
Thank you.

As mentioned, do these have air screws, fuel screws, or both.  If both, they are Suzuki carbs.

Suzuki vm26ss.
If the engine side measure 28mm it's because they taper inwards to the slide. The carb size is taken at the slide diameter which will be 26mm in this case.

Z1000J2 somewhat modified!
