I have a 1980 kz 750 twin that needs the carbs replaced and i'm having a heck of a time trying these carbs. What other motorcycles out there use these same carbs. I just aquired this bike and I'm not exactly sure what size carbs fit the bike. However the bike is all original if that helps any.

What's the matter with the old ones? After having gone through my own gunked up carbs, and then having my local Kawasaki guy do it too, I would strongly recommend sending your carbs to WiredGeorge to get reworked. I wish I had done that, would have been cheaper in the long run. (No I don't get a commision from him!)

I don't sell KZ750 twin carbs outright, nor any other twin carb models. Too hard to stock all variations. As far as which carbs will fit... the carbs from the Yamaha twin fit BUT they may interfere with your petcock if memory serves. I also have a set of Solex carbs on my rack that will fit as they don't have a hard bracket joining them and use a common throttle cable arrangement (one cable splits to pull both carbs). I am not sure what they are off of but will probably put them on eBay eventually as I have no use for them... they are supposed to be good carbs but not sure about sourcing parts, etc. You could always buy TWO individual carbs and use a single pull throttle I guess.

Nevco, I had to drill out the air mixture adjusting screw. I can re-tap but finding the correct tap is just as hard as finding the carbs. Maybe i'll try a good auto parts store or the snap-on tool man.

you may also check the suzuki 750 carbs, i looked at one a couple months ago they were mikunis and they looked really close, but really my carbs looked like crap, i soaked every thing in berrymans, make sure everything is clear, especially the jet in the bottom of the bowl, it's real susceptable (sp.?) to getting gunked up.

I'm just looking for a set of carbs. It really doesn't matter how they look i just need everything to work. The hunt continues especially the air adjustment screw.

76-80 KZ750 twin carbs will work, 82-83 750 twin carbs won't work because the choke knob hits the petcock.

If you have the $$$$, Mikuni sells some really nice new ones, (Smithgpz has a set on his twin). :)

thanks for the info Steell. I was thinking about buying a set of carbs from an 83 twin. Now I'm glad I didn't. Hummm. New Mikuni's

I was having a heck of a time finding information about my carbs, also, 82KZ750CSR. I called the main Kawasaki and asked them what model carbs I had. They told me they were Mikuni BS34's and that made my life a lot easier. Found out that some Yamaha's used the same carb.
