Yeah, I agree. Double check your timing. Pull a plug and see how it's burning.

ok so i went down to a 120 main and droped the needle to the mid position and it really helped but i have a wicked bog the bike almost shuts off if i snap the throttle form just open to full then the bike launches hard is this a sign of rich or lean?

andrew - I think it's important to make one change at a time when adjusting carbs. Making two adjustments makes it harder to pinpoint the trouble area.

How does it pull at wot? If it pulls good and doesn't bog or cut out at wot then your main jet is probably close.

Now onto the midrange - you didn't really say where the jet needle was set initially. Let us know where is was at (positions usually count top to bottom 1-2-3-4-5), and where you moved it to. How is midrange performing (meaning from 1/4 to 3/4 throttle)? After reading your post again it sounds like you could be lean on the midrange, but get back and let us know the position.

So by putting it in the 3rd position you leaned midrange. Try setting back to #4 and even go #5 if you have to, see if that clears up your bog/flat spot.
