Anyone know a good place to find more? The guys at Z1 said no go so I'm stumped.

Maybe I can cannibalize the parts from another bike/year?

I could be wrong here but I seem to remember someone mentioning that they found some sort of flexible rubber tubing type stuff at Home Depot which was the right diameter and fit right in.
Maybe try a search here or in the archives.
Good Luck

I'm not saying it's great or permanent, but it sure works for testing during my rebuild...

The best info I can give on this, if the tubing doesn't work for you, is to get the kaw pn and watch on eBay for these. Mine were pretty nasty and the p.o. had just painted them with some vinyl or rubber type paint. I was able to find a set on eBay. You also might take the part number and check with BikeBandit.com .

This is one of the reasons I went with pods. The other reason is that the stock air filter is something like $60.

Believe it or not, that's the main reason I went with a '76 frame for my rebuild. i wanted the newER style airbox with the cheaper air filters and the rubber hoses from Home Depot. I'm not much of a pod person.

I have I think 5 of those fileters for the '74/75. Some day I'll eBay them...

Biquetoast - do you know/remember what size of tubing you got from HD? That sounds like a good idea!

Sure. Here, if you go to this link...

biquetoast.com/bigpics/76-400/rebuild/20...elyCheapAirBoots.jpg

...you can zoom in and see them perfectly. They are 1 1/2".

Also, after thinking about it, I realize that this thread/post is originally about a '75, and this solution really won't work for a '74 or '75 because of the way the hoses on that year airbox are connected... as I mentioned above, that is one of the reasons I chose a '76 frame for the rebuild...
