This time I am calling on people to see if they have any tricks of the trade on how to get the carbs back on a 80 KZ750 LTD with the stock airbox:blush: ??? I have been trying today to start to reassemble the bike correctly but each time I try to put the carbs back in w/the airbox, it pops the rubbers from the airbox back in, which at that point I cannot get them out again with the carbs in the holders. Help please!

spray a lot of lube on the rubbers and push really hard!i feel like a porno movie director all the sudden! :S  :woohoo: it might help to remove the clamps and install them later,if the boots on the airbox are still soft you might be able to roll them back on temselves a little bit .;) goodluck, happy wrenching!

They set fine in the intake boots w/o the airbox there, ha. It is the rubber on the airbox boots which is a little hard and it won't bend enough to squeeze by. Would it be better to loosen up the airbox to try to get some more room or does it sound like I have to get new airbox boots?

Loosen your airbox. try get as much room as possible. I have used strips of thin gauge sheetmetal that I use to hold back boots as I cram them in. Then pull strips out as you work boots back on. Careful you don't cut your self or the boots. Soapy water as lube works.
