Got the 28s painted, polished, and put back together but the center T feed is floping around kinda easy. I put gas in them with no problem... no leaks but I think that T fitting is going too end up being a issue. Is that part available anywhere? Carbs on the right are what came off the bike I think they are 36mm.

Would this one work from Z1enterprises ?
There are two others on page 2 in the carb section for Z1Rs.

Might just need to find new O-rings for the T.
Do post up some pix of the finished bike. Love the Z1R. B)

rstnick, the t on my carbs is a aluminum t with rubber vulcanized on in the form of two o-rings.
i took a razor and carefully cut the o-ring lookin section off and got some o-rings and shoved on and put them back together about 11 years ago and it has worked.i would like to replace it with the correct one.i have also thought about spinning up an aluminum t that accepts o-rings.
when i have to i guess i will go that route if i cant find the rubber covered one.

Uncertain about which part, but could it be a fuel pipe joint available from Z1E?

Click here > fuel pipe joint

Another option is tighten the fitment by wrapping with teflon tape. The white tape is okay, but seem to recall the yellow tape is designed for use with fuel.

Good Luck! :)

dang know i better go look for those float bowl gaskets and i "might"be able to dry my carbs up completely.won't know what to think about not having to wipe fuel residue off my starter cover anymore, hehe.
thanks again patton,

You're more than welcome. :)

Maybe just lucky, but have used the same float bowl gaskets over and over for many years with no leaks.

Where fuel escapes past the floatbowl gasket, sometimes using two float bowl gaskets (instead of just one) will help better seal the bowls against the carb body.

I believe it was Jeff Saunders of Z1E who also suggested checking the ears on the floatbowl where the screws go through to see whether the ears might have become slightly bent enough (toward the carb body) to disallow a snug fit. If so, it should be possible to carefully straighten the ears and regain a tighter fit.

Good Luck! :)
