smaller carbs are a lot more responsive, especially on smaller motors on a streetbike.ive got 33s on my 1170 and it hits like a big ol sledgehammer!B) goodluck, happy wrenching!

wireman. is ther any way of boring out my carbs to run a little" fatter" so they would be a good set for my 1075 build up?

vm26's. so far i haven't found any 33's for a reasonable price yet.

thanks

you might have trouble getting those CV carbs to work right on the street with the cams you are going to run,you really need to find some rs34's IMHO,they would be a much better carb to try and tune for the street.

I have used 33's on my 1075 but it was fussy about the low speed adjustments,It was ok in my case as I used the bike mostly for the strip.I have some buds that have the RS34's and they love em.

For strip 36mm would be best, for street 32-34 should be ok. There is a classified looking to sell a set of 34mm RS's.

I know a guy running low 10's in the 1/4 miles with a 1075 kit & 29mm smoothbores. Don't let the size fool ya.

but you have to hate the price folks are asking for em!!
$400.00 and up,get real!,another 150.00 and you can have a set of RS34's new

and look what they sold for new!!

oh well, the software says the pic is to big so I'll just give the prices new
$289.00 for 29's
$389.00 for 33's per vintage APE add.
