I forgot. Do I turn the screws in or out to make it lean? I'm running really rich and fouling plugs about 200 miles. I'm going to get new pods next week. i think the zx6 muffler is plugging things up.

I thought I heard scew them in to richen and out to lean it out. I'm too lazy to dig my book out I guess.

Your book won't tell you. If they are the stock 78 KZ1000 carbs, they have pilot fuel mixture screws and you need to screw then in some. This affects mostly only idle so if they are fouling out on the road, I suggest you need to think about rejetting. Wait till you swap to pods to be sure.

If it's an "airscrew type" (screw on the sides of the carbs) you screw it out to lean. If it's the "pilotscrew type" (screw on the bottom of the carb) you screw it in to lean. The way to think of it is think of the function of each. The airscrew is adjusting your air, just like a faucet, you turn it open to get more "air". The pilot screw is adjusting your gas, just like a faucet, you turn it open to get more "gas".
