Anyone have a good way of cleaning old gas out of a tank,, Not really rusty But Goooy .. Thanks in advance Shoe

if youre not worried about the paint take it to a radiator shop to be boiled out they can also seal the tank for you!goodluck,happy wrenching!

Under "Articles" on this site there is a great tank cleaning procedure. I've used it and it is unbelievable...

Errr... the tank cleaning procedures mentioned were used to combat surface rust mostly. I would buy a gallon of Berrymans carb dip and CAREFULLY (DO NOT GET IT ON PAINT), pour it in and let it sit. It will disolve the old gas goo. Then flush with gas a couple times and dry the tank with compressed air. Make sure you don't let it sit dry for a long time as it will rust.
